Re: DWI Offense

the range of punishment on a first DWI is a minimum of 72 hours up to 180 days in jail, or a fine in an amount of up to $2,000.00; or both jail time and fine. Please note, this is the worse case scenario, and you need to talk to and hire an attorney that does DWI defense. More importantly than the punishment, is the Administrative License Revocation Hearing (ALR), which you should request a hearing for that no more than 15 days after the date of the person's arrest. Good luck, and please do not wait to contact a DWI Attorney.
