Forfiture of bail bond for DUI in Texas
What will happen to me if my brother fails to show for his court date for DWI after I have posted his bail? He has both Dutch and American citizenship and has returned to Holland since the arrest. He cannot afford to return to Texas for his trial.

You will lose [forfeit] the bond - the system will keep it. That was, after all, the whole point of bond in the first place - to ensure his appearence at trial.
