Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Custody

My bf has a son who is 15 yrs old. He pays child support, he never married the mother or lived with her. The child is going through difficulty in school, getting in trouble, talking back to his mother and at times getting out of line. My bf wants his son to live with him but the mother refuses. What are my bfs rights? The Att Gen office named her as the custodial parent. The child does not want to hurt his mom by leaving. In the best interest of the child can his father take him without a court order?

Re: Child Custody

If there is a court-ordered conservator, then there is a court order. Your boyfriend needs to file a Petition to Modify the SAPCR.
