Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

What choices does my child have?

I have a 10 year old daughter that I am the custodial parent of who's father has been in and out of jail, prison and rehab. He is being released on parole soon and she is nervous about their visits. She feels as though she will get in touble for not wanting to visit him without me there. I am also a little nervous about it also. If she doesn't want to visit him what does she or I do?

You can ask the court to modify his visitation.

I'd do it now while he's in jail.

Good luck!

You definately need an attorney so everything is done properly and quickly.

If he does not file an answer, you can do a default.

Re: What choices does my child have?

Being "nervous" is a little ambiguous about not wanting to comply with the court's order. You would have to be much more specific in front of the judge. Good Luck.
