Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

In court settlement dismissed.

I had an in court agreement with grandparents regarding visitation. My lawyer was to draw up the papers for signature. This was in March 2001. I have been trying to get a copy of this since that time. My lawyer never phoned or sent a copy. Now according to the courts, the case was dismissed. How could this happen? The assistant at the attorneys office does not have any answers for me. I am now out $6,000. The courts state that this now reverts back to the old orders. What would cause this to be dismissed?

You should find a new attorney and file a grievance with the State Bar of Texas. They should have an 800 number in your telephone directory.
