Custody Battle

My ex is threatening to file for custody becuase my children are doing poorly in school. The stepmother has taken my children to the doctor and refuses to provide me with that information. Can she legally do that and submit them to bloodtest with out my consent?

Re: Custody Battle

Based on what you have stated, when parents are disputing over custody of their children the courts will get involved to resolve the dispute. Either parent can bring an action against the other parent to challenge the current custody order. As for the step-mother taking the children to the doctor and refusing to provide any information, you need to review the current child custody order. There should be language as to your ability to obtian medical records and/or medical information. If my law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).
