Custody?
On a Split Custody case; If one parent had CPS called for not taking care of child properly(possible endangerment due to recent mental illness such as thoughts of suicide noted) , would the other parent be given automatic permanent custody of the child?

Custody, temporary or permanent, is never automatic. One parent may or may not be the best conservator; but it does not automatically follow that the remaining parent is. The court will order a hearing to make that determination.
