What can i do
My dad says he has custody over my kid and i never signed anything and he was not taken by the state how can i get him back? It's been five years and they keep moving and changing the phone number.

You can hire a lawyer to file a lawsuit requesting custody.

You can start by doing an online search under family court records for the county where you live, and the counties where he has lived with your child. Many counties have this information available on the internet. Others you may have to call or write for the information. If you locate a court order which gives him conservatorship, then you need an attorney to file for modification. If you locate a court order which terminates your parental rights, then you need a lawyer to see if that order can be set aside. TCL
