Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Enforcement of a Legal Judgement

I was awarded a judgement against my ex husband in court and he refuses to pay it. Part of the judgement is paying the balance owed to my attorney. My ex is a dentist and has remarried. He owns a business and home and his new wife owns a home. Is there any way to enforce the judgement without involving my lawyer? I would like to collect enough to at least pay the lawyer's fees without increasing them.

Re: Enforcement of a Legal Judgement

Collection of judgments is a specialized and sometimes highly technical practice of law. I work daily in that area. The fact that you are asking this question in this forum indicates that you would have a very small likelihood of collecting this judgment without legal assistance. I would work on this matter for you on a contingent basis - if I don't collect, neither one of us gets paid. If you're interested contact me by email.
