Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Family law

Does my ex husband have the legal right to keep my son and not bring him home. We go to court on Thursday today he informed me that if he doesn't bring him home then I can't do anything about it. Can I call the police to go and get my son if he doesn't bring him home this evening

Re: Family law

Apparently you have no order in place - that's why you're going to court Thurs. Be sure and tell the judge what your H said - you'll probably get some action then.

If there is a current court order, that is the one you need to follow until it is modified.

You will need a certifiee copy of the order when you call the cops.

Since you are going to court on Thursday, the cops might not want to get involved.

However, you can call them and see if they will help you.

If you don't have an attorney, you desperately need one.
