I want to file for a divorce. My husband is in prison & has been for the past 14 years. We got married by proxy on 8/18/2009. He will not sign the waiver & will possibly try to fight for any & everything I have. Is there a Texas Family Law to protect me from this?

A law to protect you from your husband asking for what he has a right to? No.
File your divorce, get him served, and see what happens. You can ask the Judge to award you a disproportionate share of the community property.
