Grandchildren

My grandchildren want to come live with me & their mother. My grandson is turnning 12 in Nov. & my granddaughter is 8. So will they need a lawer to go to court & go in front of a judge?

Yes.

The 12 year old can state who he would like to live with but it is NOT binding on the Judge.

The "best interests" of the child(ren) is what the Judge will use to decide why they should move.

I recommend that you talk to a family law attorney as soon as possible to discuss all of your options.
