Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I dont know what to do, my ex husband has my son and tomorrow he is dropping him off in the morning on Mother's Day, every year he gives me a hard time about dropping him off and not going to church with him. We have joint custody, but it seems like every year Mothers Day fall on his weekend. I saw that you are supposed to get your child the Friday before Mothers Day and I was trying to call him and he starting off saying that he forgot about dropping him off tomorrow first of all. I know I am going on and on but this is a every year thing with us and its not fair that I have to argue to get my son on my special day! Then he wouldn't answer the phone, and I;m sure his excuse will be he was asleep. (lie) Please help me, I am begging you!

Stop using the telephone.

Write your ex-husband a PAPER LETTER (lick a 44-cent stamp), and keep a copy. Tell him EXACTLY what you expect of him and EXACTLY what you plan to do this coming Mother's Day.

A Standard Possession Order gives you Mother's Day WEEKEND, not just Mother's Day.

If he violates the Court order, sue him for contempt.

If it's Mother's Day weekend and he comes to pick up his son, DON'T BE HOME. Take your son to Chuck Cheese or to a movie.
