Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Can jewelry and car be taken by the court to pay a Divorce Judgement?

I was told that in Texas in can not be done, is it true?

If in the Divorce the court order the husband to pay a large amount and he owns expensive watch, and drive a Jaguar, can the cort take posetion?

It is a family civil case.

It depends on the proceedings and the character of the property. If you are in the divorce proceeding, and the property is his separate property, then it cannot be taken to satisfy a community debt. You can be awarded a judgment against him, and in enforcement proceedings go after all of his non-exempt property. If it is community property then it can be sold to satisfy a community debt. Hopefully that answers your question, although again, depending on the facts of your case, there are several possible outcomes. TCL
