Juvenile Probation
My granddaughter is 16 & was on juv probabation until 5.21.09 for criminal mischief. I have legal custody thur thr court because her parents died 2008. Her Mom from Lupus & her Dad from a stroke. She's had great difficulty in keeping up in school &had excessive absences & the school reported her to the P.O. She's had grieving & emotional issues & comppletely lost all intrest & quit school. She just stays home & not in any trouble. She broke probabtion-can she go to jail for this before she's 17 in Sept or even after she's 17 becaue she didn't complete her probabtion which would have ended in May 2009?
Re: Juvenile Probation
Based on what you have written, it appears that your grand-daughter needs a local law firm to assist her with the Court. Breaking probation may result in detention dependent upon the Court's view of the facts. It appears that your grand-daughter is in need of a grief counseling program and some way to graduate. If my local law firm can assist you with this legal matter or any other legal issue, please contact my paralegal Tina (tina@dmillerlaw.com) to arrange for an initial consultation.
Re: Juvenile Probation
Your granddaughter needs a lawyer. These are circumstances that need a resolution besides detention. If an alternative education plan can be put in place (GED, home schooling etc) in conjunction with grief therapy, then the court should approve it. Good luck.
