Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Legal Guardianship

Hi, my husband and myself have full custody of my step son. we won it in court. his great grandmother is trying to go behind our back and sign him up for drivers education. We know that she can not do it, but can his ''mother'' do it? we do not feel he is ready yet and are holding off. he is staying with the great grandmother for the month of juky and and this is when she plans to do it. we found out the mother has let him drive with no permit or license before. can we stop this sign up from happening?

Wow! What a mess!

Yes, as the people set to make decisions about his life, you should be able to do so.

You need to talk to the school or where he is going regarding these relatives "trying to help him".

As "full custody" conservators, you should be in control unless the current court orders state otherwise.

I charge $100 an hour to sit down and discuss your options.

Have you talked to the school?

Happy 4th of July!
