Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I live in Texas. Our divorce decree states he has to reimburse 1/2 medical expenses. Is he required to pay 1/2 for our son's wisdom teeth removal; it was expenses that were unpaid after my ex husbands wife paid dental benefits. My out of pocket was $1800. In our son's situation his teeth were a medical issue - causing headaches; therefore needed them out to make an occlusal guard to help him medically. My ex is saying our Texas divorce decree states medical only therefore he is not responsible.

You ex is wrong. He is liable. There are questions in different counties regarding orthodontics for cosmetic reasons, but I have not met the judge, in 33 years of practice and more than 12 counties, that did not consider dental expenses to reasonable medical expenses.
