Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My name is michele i need advice on how to divorce my husband before he divorces me. Actually i need knowledge, I have been married for about 30 years, my husband is a serial cheater has a child by another women, I make about 1000.00 a month he makes about 42.000.00 a year. He pays for the house and cars and insurance, We are still friends, But iam ready to move on, I want everything to stay the same because i took care of the kids so that he could have a good job, Iam too old to start over and feel that he should still pay for these things, is that wrong? So for me I need to know where i stand before he makes his move. Thank you Michele
