Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Hi my question is

me and my girl friend been together 1 yr and she got pregnant and moved back to her home town in Arkansas.. she is currently 5 months pregnant and we are no longer together...we talk off and on but tend to argue alot now then before... and im kinda scared that she will try to keep my unborn child away from me when she is born .How can i go about getting custody of my child when she is born with out her interfiring... Cause she has used this statment on me several times already ''that she will not let me she my daughter once she is born'' and i have been very patient with her and good but if i dont meet her expectation she will say that. Please help and guide me to wear i need to go for this help. Thanks alot

I assume that you impregnated her in Texas, and that you didn't cause her to move to Arkansas (that is, it was her decision).

File a paternity suit here in Texas, and get her served in Arkansas.

I agree. If she gets 6 months residency in Arkansas, she will argue that is the home state of the child and that Arkansas should have jurisdiction requiring you to appear in the court there. By filing your paternity action here before that time period runs, the court here will have jurisdiction and she will have to appear here. I can file that action for you. Call me at (713) 681-1300.
