In Texas, there is a presumption in favor of joint managing conservatorship. If you want the court to do something else, you'd want to look at chapter 153 of the Texas Family Code.

My question to you might be: Why don't you want joint custody? Do you know the difference between jiont managing conservatorship and sole managing conservatorship?

Joint managing conservatorship does NOT mean that Mom and Dad have the child 50-50.
