Is there a way to waive the cooling off period in a divorce?

I assume that you want to waive the 60 day waiting period? You can read the TX Family Code which is on-line.

The answer is no - not usually.

You can, of course, approach the judge and ask.

It can be waived if there was domestic violence - but that is a complicated matter & requires an attorney.
