Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Wanting a Divorce, but husband is in jail

I left my husband the 1st of 2009.

Since then he has committed a

felony & fled to WI. He was recently

picked up in WI & is awaiting his

court date to have him extradited

back to TX to face his criminal

charges. How do I go about getting

divorced if he's in jail?

Find yourself a good family law attorney. Getting it filed and him served once he is back in Texas should not be too hard. Many family law attorneys will work with you on the fees and take payment plans.
