Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My X-husband is taking money out of my montly Alimony check to buy my child things. He pay's child support. But my son asked for a new pair of boots. The X said sure...purchased them... and then took the money out of my monthly alimony. Is this legal? What are my rights? Texas is my location.

Look at the order that requires him to pay child support (and alimony). Does it allow him any credit for buying boots? If not, then he's in contempt. He doesn't get to make up the rules.

Write him a letter and demand that he bring the child support and the alimony up to date. Give him ten days to do it. Then sue him for contempt.
