Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Auto Repair Laws

My truck was vandalized while getting serviced for a recall, the dealership repaired the truck without authorization from anyone and are charging more than what I could have repaired it for. Does my insurance have to pay them.

Re: Auto Repair Laws

If you left the truck with the dealership for them to work on it, they are responsible for repairing the damage. They don't need authorization to repair the damage, and they shouldn't be charging for it.

When you leave something with someone, the law says you expect to get it back in the same condition as you left it.
