loan repayment
I lent 400 dollars to a friend and he gave me a check to cash a month later to repay me. When I cashed the check it bounced and he refuses to pay me back. Is there any law about this?

The easiest way to try to get your money is to try and cash the check again at his bank. I recommend on a payday; especially if he has direct deposit.
Another option is to sue him in small claims court.
