paying back a friend

i borrowed money from my friend's credit card. To buy some home repairs. $4500.00. I have written several personal checks to her credit card company for the minumum payments. 4 months to be exact. But now i can't pay her back at all. I have no ideal when i can pay her back. But she has several possesions that are mine. Can she keep my possesions because i have miss the last 3 monthly payments on her credit card. And can she sue me for the balance of the credit card ?? Which is in her name.

Mr. Williamson is correct. Your friend does not deserve to be taken advantage of like this. If they take you to small claims court, you wouldn't have much chance.

No, she can't hold back on your possessions because you missed payments. She can sue you for the unpaid balance on the credit card, plus accumulated interest and court costs. If it's over $5,000 she'll have to go into a court higher than Small Claims... In which case she will have attorney fees and post-judgment interest as well.
