Re: Mechanic Lein

You do not need a business to file a mechanic's lien but the deadlines to file one in Texas are short and the requirements are strict. Texas is one of the most complicated states to file a mechanic's lien. What is needed is dependent on whether you provided services or materials and whether you are a contractor, subcontractor or as sub-subcontractor. I specialize in liens and do so for a flat fee that is property code compliant. If you need a lien, I can help but it is likely you should call my office before the 15th of the month.

Re: Mechanic Lein

Based on what you have stated and without more specifics on your case, you do not have to own a business to file a lien. Texas has specific rules for filing a mechanic lien. You should really consider retaining a local law firm to assist you with obtaining this lien. If my law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).
