Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

I was recently laid off from my job and received a Separation Agreement and General Release. It seems as though the company is asking me to waive my rights to file claims against the company in the future. Please clarify. The language in the agreement is as follows: "Employee represents and warrants to the company that he/she has not filed nor submitted any charge, claim or complaint regarding his/her employment with the Company with any state or federal agency, court or other forum and agrees not to do so in the future and acknowledges that the Company is relying upon this representation in entering into commitments reflected herein".
