Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

termination for theft

how do you defend yourself aganist this with little or no funds

A friend and I worked for a company that did work for another business and we did the work on their property.

One day my friend was detained as we left work and was arrested for theft. My company was told I was not allowed back in the building as I was under investigation . They did not say for what. I was never detained or have been ask anything.

My company did suspend me with pay. I have now been told I was fired for theft.

I think I am a victim for being a friend to this guy , as when some or all of the stuff was stolen I was not even at work. I would think if they had any proof of involvement I would have been questioned or arrested He has told them I was never involved or so I am told. Neither company will talk to me

I have very little money or funds and any help would be appreciated as I want o clear my name not only with these companies but anyone else that may think there is something I am hiding. In no way can I imigine how I could be in a position to think I am involved other than being a friend and we ride together sometimes

Re: termination for theft

complicated case..have you called a lawyer..if all is provable on your side and if you have been damaged..ie lost income, not able to find equally good job or they have written accusation of theft...you need to contact a lawyer now..
