Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Evicted
A friend of mine has been renting a house for over 20 years. He received a letter in the mail that says the car place behind him has now purchased the property and he has 10 days to get out. Does he have any rights? Do they need to give more notice? I do not believe they have any kind of written agreement.

Your friend in on a month-to-month-lease. By statute, they are required to give him 30 days written notice.
