Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas

I have a roommate who is refusing to pay her part of the electric bill. We did not sign anything, but we all agreed how we would split it at the beginning of the year. This roommate has moved out but refuses to pay the recent bills. Does our agreement qualify as a verbal contract and would I be able to take her to small claims court for that money?

Based upon the facts you mentioned above it sounds like you have a potential claim for breach of a oral contract. If you can show through even emails that she knows they owe you, that would help you even more.
