Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I got into an accident where I rear ended a car. The car I was driving was covered with liability insurance under my parent's name. My name isn't on the policy but I don't regularly drive the car, I was given permission on this occasion. I was wondering if the damages for the other vehicle and passengers are covered, or both mine and theirs or neither?

A licensed permissive user is generally covered by the policy on the car so long as there is not a specific exclusion for you. Assuming no exclusion and you have a license, whatever coverage would apply to your parents under the policy should also apply to you. Your own liability insurance policy on your own car would also cover you while driving another vehicle.
