Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Head on colision

An young man in the Air Force hit my wife head on. The medical bills so far have totaled over $250.000.00, he had $20.000 worth of Insurance. The small amount of insurance he had left us with nothing, no automobile replacement, and our co-pays have run us over $2200.00 out of our pocket so far. My wife had 7 broken bones and 4 surgerys so far. The accident happened May 31, 06 and she is still seeing the doctor over her crushed right ankle. Is there anyway we can go after the federal Government over this since this guy was military? He was driving his personal vehicle at the time of the accident. He recieved and paid a ticket for failing to control speed. He came across the median in a 4 lane divided hiway and hit her.

Thanks

More info is needed. Was he drunK?Gov is NOT responsible..Did you have UIM? perhaps other insurance may be available..BUT it happens every day as one out of four people are uninsured or underinsured..so you must get UIM to protect your family
