Homesowners Claim

IS there ever an exception to a Max payout on a homeoweners policy per incedent ? If the max payout is $300,000 per incedent for example, Will the insurance company ever payout more than the Max policy ? Claim is based on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns..

It is theoretically possible if the ins. co. should fail reasonably settle this claim within policy limits. It would have to be absolutely crystal clear to a reasonable person that your claim exceeds the policy limits. That might be possible for serious burns. But it is not likely that you would recover more than the policy limits. Insurance claims are very difficult. Insurance companies do not usually pay much attention to your claim until you get a lawyer and then they fight very hard to keep from paying.
