Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Had a question about a claim am currently facing about a slip an fall in Kroger's. I hired a attorney to work on the case in which nothing have been done yet. I was wondering if I signed an agreement with an attorney an wonted to sign him off my case because nothing has been done. What should I do? On the contract it says I will have too pay 33 1/2 percent of whats received, haven't got anything yet. So would I still have too pay?

You have a contract with that lawyer. He has certain duties. Moving fast is probably not one of them. You have the right, however, to use the lawyer of your choice. If you are unhappy, you can change lawyers. You may, however, have to pay that lawyer all or a portion of his attorney fees. A new lawyer may be willing to reduce his fees so that you don't have to pay more than a third.

Slip and fall cases are difficult. Unless your damages are severe, most lawyers will probably take their time with it.
