adverse possession

my father moved into his parents home when his father died in 1982. His mother died in 1985 and my father lived in their home until he died in June. I moved into the home in april before my father died. Can I now claim adverse possession through heirship?

Re: adverse possession

You may have another way of claiming an interest in the home, depending on the familial makeup of the people who died before you. You need to track your grandparents' heirs, and then your father's heirs. If they all deed out, then you can obtain title to the property without the need of an adverse possession action.
