Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

who owns home

my grown son's name and mine are on mobile home SOL (title)

During my divorce, his atty said my son could not possilby have been able to purchae a home. To leave my retirement alone, the properties, which included the mobile home went to ex. However, only the divorce papers mentioned just the land and improvement placed by previous owner which was another mobile home that was moved off. This mobile home was purchased by my son and placed on the land. Real Estate atty I talked to said unless it was valued at around 30k, it was wise to pursue. Any ideas?

Re: who owns home

It is doubtful that the MH is worth 30K since they depreciate in value. Check value yourself - there are resources on the web. The court will look at "intent" of the document, and if there is an error, it could be easily fixed. It is probably best to talk to your divorce attorney.
