Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Trees have grown between my neighbors fence and mine, but they are primarily on his property, other than the roots that are now ruining my chain link fence. Are they responsible to cut down the tree? May I cut them down if they won't? Thanks.

You can chop the roots that are on your side of the property.
