warranty deed

I have a warranty deed with only my nameon it and want to add my wifes name on deed. hat form must I use. There is no mortgage on property no exchange of money involved.

You can execute a special warranty deed to add your wife to the property.

Basically file another warranty deed, but this time deed it to the both of you. It will be almost identical to the one that you have, but you will be the grantor and you and your wife will be the grantee. Finally, you will file this deed with the county clerk in your county.

I typically prepare deeds for about $100. You might be able to find someone who will charge a comparable price.
