Re: auto ownership bill of sale

It is very difficult to understand your question.

Title to a vehicle does not pass by a bill of sale, but by the title. The law recognizes buyers in good faith and buyers in bad faith. Someone who purchases a car merely by a bill of sale might not be considered a buyer in good faith. Title to a stolen car (unauthorized use, also) does not pass away from the lawful owner based upon a bill of sale from a 3rd party.

No doubt you have a valid claim against the 3rd party that attempted to sell you the car. You will have difficulty asserting ownership of the car.
