$6000 midicare bill
My mother left her house to me in her will. Medicare has sent us a bill of $6000 for her nursing home. my disabled sister remains in the house. is there anyway not to pay medicare at this time or do they get the money?

I doubt it because the disabled exemption would apply if the house went to your sister, not you. However, I would talk to a Medicare (are you sure it isn't Medicaid?) caseworker just to be sure.
