contested will

if your parents divorce and remary, your father dies first then your stepmother dies, do you have any claim to the estate or can your stepmother leave everything to her children from a previous marriage

When a parent dies in Texas and there is no will (intestate) the child(ren) will have a claim even though the parent has remarried.

If there is a will, you can make a good faith effort to contest it if for example you have a reason to believe that your parent was under undue influence when the will was prepared.
