Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

I married a divorcee---he was retired and we live off the money he got from his divorce---we have been married 14 years--he has children from a previous marriage--we don't have any----can they sue me for anything we aquired during our marriage should he die before me---i have not worked since i married him and am a housewife--we don't have alot of money anymore and am afraid his children will take everything away from me should he pass before me--he does have a will and it takes care of me---but they have never liked me though i have always been nice and friendly to them

If the will takes care of you, you should be OK. However understand that the children may try to contest the will.

If he dies without a will, his children will have an interest.

Suggest you have an attorney examine the will, to make sure it it is OK. Also ask about things that can be done to discourage an attack.
