Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My sister in law was named executor of father in laws estate . Estate has been out of probate for a year, all bills and atty fees have been paid. The courts issued a check in her name to distribute to all siblings, now she refuses to show us an accounting of estate or bank or to disperse the money, what are our options

IF the court issued your sister in law a check, the probate was probably dependent upon court approval of everything. All the documentation you need is public record in the court file. If, however, you are mistaken about the court issuing the check, then 15 months after the probate, you can compel the executor/executrix to deliver an accounting and distribute the assets. Contact a local probate lawyer.
