The information neeeded is for a husband who died and left a will giving property to wife but what information and what procedures are needed to legally transfer all ownerships to wife, when everything was in his name, and no one seems to be able to help without an attorney.

His will needs to be entered into probate. You don't necessarily need a lawyer to handle it, if you are willing to go through the fairly long learning curve of the probate court procedures. It's easier, much faster, and with less of a chance that things could get unbelievably screwed up, to hire a lawyer.
