Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas

injury at work,wrongful termination

Fell at work 11-3. Employee injury report and x-rays done on 11-4 Doctor in er stated tht I had a fx'd coccyx.

DON wanted to speak with me.10 min.later she appeared and berated me in front of my son and x-ray staff. I was uncomfortable and upset,I was there for 10 min.foror them to repeat the x-rays that were taken on the 3rd. I decided not to stay and wait,angry in pain I hobbled out on my crutches staitin that the don could kiss my ass. She did not hear this but threatened a computer techs job. I went downtown to the main hospitals hr, was confronted by 3 workers,and basically told my future with this hospital was in jeopardy. They sent me to their own occupational clinic where another set of x-rays were taken with different results. I went home and e-mailed the DON an appology,I have not heard a word since,but the chances are that when my medical leave is over that I will either will be terminated or not get my annual raise. I have worked at this hosp, for nine years and always filled in with over time or anything ask of me.What are my rights,my back is not improving,but I will rehab on my knee on 12-2.

If you were injured at work in the course and scope of your employment, you may be entitled to worker's compensation benefits. There are additional facts that I would need to know.
