Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas

job making me clock out to go to the doctor

i work at a shipyard, and i had elbow surgery, i didnt miss anytime at work, i was on light duty after my surgery, but while on light duty i had to go for check ups and my employer made me clock out to go to my check ups. they told me that, that was company policy to clock out if i have to go to the doctor more than the intinal time. so is that legal or are they doing everybody wrong.

They can make you clock out when you go to the doctor, but the work comp carrier is supposed to pay benefits for any lost wages resulting from your work injury until you reach maximum medical improvement. You can review additional information at www.dallasworkcomp.com
