Legal Question in Family Law in Turkey

Hello, I have a quick question. I live in Turkey and I had been married to a U.S. citizen for seven years until March 29,2012. She stayed here after we had performed the marriage in my country for two months and then went back to the States and never came back here. In June 2007, we divorced by the U.S. court there but for me to have a valid dissolution of the marriage, I had to register in my country too with another divorce case. But until March 29,2012 she didn't want to divorce me here and because of that, the marriage hadn't been terminated in the U.S. either and she told me that that divorce back in the U.S was organized by her father. Anyway, finally I also got the divorce in my country, even though the result paper hasnt been sent to her. My question is because of having been married to a U.S. citizen I had been looking like a potential immigrant in the eye of U.S. Embassy, I wasn't eligible to get even a U.S. tourist visa B1/B2. Because of having this long7 yrs period of being married to a U.S. citizen, do I have any privilege of obtaining any kind of visa? or my lost 7 yrs of literally having been married to her is just my loss and it was all in vain? No benefits of this marriage to me? Is there any law which also protects non-citizens of U.S. against the personal satisfactions of the U.S. citizens such as obtaining a resident visa, something? Thanks in Advance. Kind Regards- Murat-
