Legal Question in Banking Law in United Kingdom

i was having cash card account in barclays, i gone to the branch abt 4 to 5 months ago to convert my account from cash card to current account plus.but the refused that u can aply for current account plus after 6 months.now when the time came to apply for current account they just closed my account saying that u dont meet with our crieteria i was not useing the cash card account because i need the current account to use. they insulted me by closing my account without any reason. can i sue the barclays bank?

I think you should have a good look at the small print of your contract with Barclays Bank.

Sueing the bank, irrespective if you have cause or not, over the closure of an account, is not worthwhile.

Practically it might be better just to go to another bank to open the account you want.
