Legal Question in Criminal Law in United Kingdom

I there please can you help as i need your advice asap as my ex partner has informed me that he intends to record my telephone conversations with my daughter every time we speak on the phone.As we share time spent in the holidays between each other and now my daughter is with him and i have informed him that we do not give consent for him to do this as this upset myself and my daughter,He drinks to much and is a violent man and we don,t know why he wishes to do this except he implies that he will be use this with a third party .As i understand as he is not part of the conversation and it is a private conversation he has no right to tape our calls is this correct,Thank you again for any help you can give me,

There is little you can do against this.

You could go to court to reduce his visiting rights (and use his threat of recording everything as one of your motives).
